One of the sustainability goals set out by BMW Group is to increase the use of secondary raw materials. On average, vehicles are manufactured using almost 30% recycled and reused materials. The ‘secondary first’ approach is intended to gradually increase this figure to 50%. In fact, the proportion of secondary aluminium used in manufacturing the castings for the new BMW X1 and iX1 is already up to as much as 70%.

AN IMPOSING CHARACTER.
From the outset, the front profile of the BMW iX1 bears a purely electrifying expression. Typifying a true BMW, you’ll find the double kidney grille positioned at its heart. Embracing its all-electric nature, the kidney grille has been redesigned with a graphic statement piece. Additional design features, such as the raised bonnet, adds height at the front with expressively sculpted surfaces that further enhance its road presence. Combined with optional slim Adaptive LED Headlights and chiselled front apron, the BMW iX1 is ready to tackle any adventure.
UNMISTAKABLY X.
From its powerful proportions to its bold design, the BMW iX1 delivers everything that is synonymous with BMW X models, whilst fully embracing its BMW i lineage.
The prominent LED rear lights are carved into the back and neatly connect the sculpted lines travelling along its side. The two L-shaped trims positioned within the rear bumper highlight the width of the vehicle and alludes to the ample boot space available. This is also seen through the long roofline, stretched silhouette and contoured features. Its signature BMW X styling proclaims that exploration is at its core.

iFACTS.
In the new BMW iX1 many of its components are built using high-quality recycled plastics. Around 20% of these plastic parts are made from mono-material and are utilised on the underbody paneling, wheel arch covers and mounting elements for trim parts.
