With the signing of the United Nations Environment Programme, in 2001, BMW Group committed itself to keeping environmental impacts as low as possible. The manufacturing process of the BMW i4 is an example of this commitment in practice.
DIGITAL DRIVING EXPERIENCE.
At the forefront of the BMW i5 is a modern interior with technology integrated into the cabin. Within the iconic BMW Curved Screen, the 12.3" Information Display and 14.9" Control Display offer intuitive touch operation alongside BMW Operating System 8.5, which presents the BMW iDrive experience, including video on demand via YouTube and gaming through the AirConsole app when stationary.
The backlit BMW Interaction Bar with crystalline design spans the instrument and door panels, housing controls such as seat functions and air conditioning, and provides interior ambient lighting.

Shown here in Black M Alcantara/Veganza, the vegan upholstery encompasses the seats as well as flowing into the dashboard and door panels. Black Perforated and Quilted Veganza upholstery is offered as standard on the Sport Edition model.
The newly designed seats offer increased comfort and optimised electrical adjustment options. Front Sport seats with seat heating are included as standard, with a driver's seat memory function on the M60 xDrive model.

In order to optimise charging efficiency, the BMW i4 is equipped with an integral heating and cooling system. The feature includes a heat pump function for the interior, high-voltage battery and drive system. By managing thermal temperatures for the high-voltage battery, it ensures optimal charging efficiency for the car.
